Product information

  • Our coating is ceramic and the non-stick properties are created using silicon. The technology is called SolGel. It is non-toxic and made without any PFAS chemicals.

Silicon is an inert substance and is naturally found both in the human body and in nature.

  • Yes! All our products are coated with the same ceramic, non-toxic coating (free from PFAS) and are designed to be recoated in our circular system - again and again. Smart, sustainable, and circular.

  • Our patented oven trays are created with patented Ipinium technology, allowing you to sear your food from below and bake from above, all at the same time in your oven. They are made of lightweight aluminum (100% recycled material) and a secret ingredient that makes them quickly absorb the temperature around the tray.

If you put them in the oven, they get very hot, very quickly, giving your food a seared surface from below, shortening cooking time and preserving texture, nutrition, and flavor in your ingredients.

If you put them in the freezer, they get very cold, very quickly - making them a fantastic ice cream/dessert mold.

If you place frozen food on top of one of OnePan's griddles, even at room temperature, the food will thaw four times faster than if you put it on a plate. True story.

  • Since our products are designed to withstand Re-Coat after Re-Coat in our circular system, we are confident enough in our performance, quality, and durability to offer all our customers a lifetime warranty. The lifetime warranty applies to all parts of the frying pan, except for our re-coatable non-stick coating.

This is because all coatings (think house paint or nail polish) naturally wear out with use. To prevent countless functional frying pans and baking sheets from ending up in the landfill just because the top layer is worn out, we have created a circular system so you can restore your products to like-new condition - again and again.

When you buy a OnePan, it should be the last time you ever buy a new frying pan.

  • When you buy or acquire a OnePan product, you are invited into a circular system where no material is wasted unnecessarily. To officially become a member of our circular re-coating family, you must register your product with your serial number. This can be found either under the frying pan or on a warranty card that came with the box, depending on which generation you purchased. You can register all your OnePan products here. Other benefits of registering your OnePan products are:

  • Pre-treatment is not necessary, but for optimal durability of the pan's non-stick coating, you can grease the frying pan with cooking fat after washing it from time to time.

  • No worries! If you don't remember the size of your frying pan, place a tape measure or ruler straight across the top and measure from edge to edge to find out the diameter of your frying pan.

If you are unable to measure it at home, you can easily check your order confirmation if you have it. Alternatively, do not hesitate to contact us directly, and we will be happy to help you find the right size.

  • OnePan is designed to withstand everything – ovens, high temperatures, open flames, and dishwashers. But just like all other items in your home, your OnePan will last longer if you take care of it with love. That way, you don't need to restore the coating as often, which is good for both your wallet and the environment.

You can find all our care instructions HERE.

Re-Coat

  • Has your non-stick started to stick?

No problem. Instead of throwing away a frying pan that otherwise works perfectly, we can restore your OnePan to its original like-new condition. Check what size and model you have of your OnePan at home. Add a Re-Coat for your product to the cart and check out as usual. What will happen then is:

    1. We will send you a OnePan that has already been restored to like-new condition – which both works and feels just like a new pan.
    2. Use the same box to send your old OnePan back to us. We have included a return label for a smooth return.
    3. When we receive your frying pan, we work our magic, restore the pan to like-new condition, and prepare it for the next person who orders a Re-Coat.

    In short:

For a third of the price of a new premium frying pan, you can order a Re-Coat for your OnePan and get a like-new pan from our circular system – which also helps you reduce up to 95% of CO2 emissions compared to buying a new frying pan.

  • All non-stick coatings have different lifespans depending on how they are handled and how often they are used. Since the owner of the frying pan can cook with it anywhere from once a week to three times a day, it is impossible to give a lifespan that applies to everyone. It is also a matter of personal preference when you feel it no longer works as it should.

Our rule of thumb is to order a Re-Coat when you would normally have thrown away your non-stick frying pan.

To extend the lifespan of your non-stick coating as much as possible, we recommend checking out our care instructions.

  • In a dream world, we would of course have done this.

Unfortunately, the majority of all frying pans are not made to withstand a Re-Coat. Less durable frying pans will deform and lose their shape if they go through our Re-Coat process. The more durable, premium frying pans often have handles that are either plastic or attached to the pan, making them impossible to coat.

PFAS

  • PFAS, short for per- and polyfluorinated substances, are a group of up to 11,000 synthetic chemicals that have been used globally since the 1940s. These substances are characterized by their ability to resist water, fat, oil, and heat, making them popular in a variety of products, including non-stick coatings on frying pans, water-repellent clothing, firefighting foam, and certain types of packaging materials.

The problem with PFAS is their persistence; they do not break down in nature or in the human body, leading to accumulation over time and becoming so-called microplastics.

Exposure to PFAS over time has been linked to a range of health problems, including cancer, hormonal disruptions, and weakened immune system. Despite this, unfortunately most PFAS substances are still not banned from the market and hide behind misleading information.

    Read more about PFAS here.

  • Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a family of over 10,000 known harmful chemicals. Among these you will find PFOA and PFOS.

To make this jungle even harder to navigate, many frying pan brands misleadingly advertise their products as "PFOA/PFOS-free". This gives no indication that they are free from all PFAS chemicals, which is what you should look for.

PTFE is the technical name for highly fluorinated coatings that all contain PFAS.

The most common is 'Teflon', which is a brand of non-stick coatings. However, Teflon is just one of hundreds of brands that use PFAS chemicals as an ingredient.

Our tip to you; do not be fooled by claims that your pan is PFOA-free or PFOS-free; it is just a way for manufacturers to try to mislead consumers into thinking their pan is toxin-free. Anything that is not completely PFAS-free can risk your health as well as the health of animals and nature.

    Read more about PFAS here.

  • PFAS is a harmful group of artificial chemicals used in a variety of products to repel fat, dirt, and water from a surface. It can be found in products such as makeup, candy wrappers, ski wax, waterproof clothing, and non-stick frying pans (like Teflon). Research shows that PFAS increases the risk of both cancer and hormonal disruptions, which can cause fertility problems for both men and women. It is also called "Forever Chemical" because it can never be broken down by nature. This causes PFAS to accumulate in the environment and can be found in both the water we drink and the air we breathe.

A non-stick pan containing PFAS will release these toxic chemicals at the slightest scratch or when overheating your frying pan. A OnePan does not do this because we produce our products without using PFAS chemicals. Instead, we use a ceramic coating that can be broken down by nature and is harmless to the human body – even if you manage to scratch the pan.

  • Non-stick properties, provided it is a PFAS-free and non-toxic coating, offer many advantages. It is easy to maintain, often lighter in weight, dishwasher safe, easy to clean, suitable for cooking at all temperatures, and easy to fry with for challenging dishes - even for less experienced cooks.

That said, cast iron and carbon/stainless steel also have excellent cooking properties. Although many of them are environmentally friendly and last a lifetime, they also come with challenges. Cast iron can be heavy and requires relatively high maintenance, cannot be used in the dishwasher, and is not ideal for certain types of sauces, especially those containing acids.

Usually, that's why many households have at least one non-stick pan at home. Each material has its strengths and weaknesses, making non-stick a versatile and user-friendly choice. OnePan is designed to be a non-toxic and circular substitute for these non-stick pans.

  • The long-term effects of PFAS exposure may be more serious than many realize and include:

    Health effects

Prolonged exposure to high levels of PFAS has been linked to a range of health problems, including damage to the liver, kidneys, thyroid, and immune system. It has also been shown to be associated with certain types of cancer, hormonal disruptions, and reproductive issues.

    Environmental impact

PFAS are highly resistant to degradation and can therefore accumulate in the environment and in the body in a way that can be harmful to both humans and animals. Additionally, PFAS can spread far from the original source and affect ecosystems on a global scale.

    Long-term exposure

Although a single exposure to small amounts of PFAS does not necessarily cause immediate health problems, long-term exposure over time can lead to the accumulation of these chemicals in the body and thereby increase the risk of health issues.
