Classic oven-baked omelet

Imagine avoiding the hassle of making an omelet on the stovetop and eliminating the risk of it falling apart. Baking it in the oven is a great alternative, but using a regular baking sheet may mean sacrificing the perfect sear. In this recipe, we use OneServe. We sautéed our vegetables on the stovetop and seamlessly transitioned to baking in the oven, all with OneServe. With OnePans trays, you’re guaranteed the same searing surface as a traditional pan, allowing you to complete every step with one versatile tool.

Ingredients:

  • Optional vegetables or fillings of your choice
  • 6–8 eggs
  • 2 dl cream or water (depending on your preference)
  • 4 tbsp smetana or crème fraîche
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Here's how:

  1. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat (70% of the stove’s capacity). Sauté your vegetables or fillings until they are tender and flavorful.
  2. Whisk together the eggs, cream/water, and sour cream in a bowl. Season the mixture with a pinch of salt and pepper for the perfect flavor.
  3. Pour the egg mixture over the sautéed ingredients and transfer the entire mixture to a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius. Bake for 5–7 minutes or until the omelet is golden and cooked through.
  4. Serve the baked omelet immediately after taking it out of the oven.
