Christmas French Toast – The easiest luxurious Christmas breakfast

Recipe by Rebeka Wallborg

The ultimate Christmas breakfast is baked effortlessly in the OneServe. A warm, buttery butter pecan topping meets juicy brioche bread, baked directly in the pan for a lightly caramelized base and a fluffy, golden top. Everything in one pan, completely stress-free.

Cooking time: 30 min
Number of people: 6

Ingredients

Butter Pecan Sauce
1.5 dl brown sugar
0.5 dl maple syrup
100 g melted butter
3.5 dl chopped pecans

Custard
6 large eggs
2 dl milk
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
(optional: 1–2 tbsp orange liqueur)

Bread
Brioche, cut into thick slices

Here's how you do it

  1. Melt the butter directly in the OneServe on the stovetop. Stir in the brown sugar and maple syrup until the mixture is completely smooth. Fold in the chopped pecans and heat until everything is warm and glossy. Reserve some of the sauce in a bowl.
  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and, if desired, orange liqueur until smooth.
  3. Dip the bread slices in the mixture, then place them on top of the pecan layer in the OneServe. Pour over a little extra mixture so everything is thoroughly covered.
  4. Top with the reserved pecan sauce.
  5. Bake in the oven at 200°C for 15–20 minutes, until the surface is golden and the center is set but still soft.
  6. Serve with extra pecans, berries, and maple syrup.
