Gingerbread cookies with orange chocolate glaze

The simplest and tastiest Christmas gingerbread cookies are easily baked in the OneForm cookie sheet. Here, a soft, spiced cookie dough meets a smooth orange chocolate glaze that gives each cookie a perfect festive finish. OneForm provides even heat, nice edges, and an even result without baking paper, making it easy to succeed every time. A truly lovely recipe for Advent coffee, Christmas coziness, or when you just want to bake something quick and festive.

Ingredients

Cookies:
1 ägg
1 dl strösocker
1 dl farinsocker
2 tsk vaniljsocker
150 g smör
150 g mjölkchoklad, hackad
3 dl vetemjöl
3 msk kakao
1 tsk bakpulver
2 tsk pepparkakskrydda

Glasyr:
50 g smör
0.5 dl kallt kaffe
3.5 dl florsocker
2 msk kakao
1 tsk vaniljsocker
Finrivet skal från 1 apelsin
Flingsalt
Valfritt: snöflingsströssel eller extra flingsalt

Here's how you do it

  1. Whisk together eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla sugar until the batter becomes airy.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan and stir in the chopped chocolate. Then mix the chocolate mixture with the egg batter.
  3. Stir together wheat flour, cocoa, baking powder, and gingerbread spice in a separate bowl and sift into the batter. Work together into a thick dough and let rest in the fridge for about 20 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Roll the dough into 8–10 balls and bake in your OneForm for 10–12 minutes until the cookies have nice edges and a chewy center.
  5. Melt the butter in your OnePan 26 Traktörpanna and mix in coffee, powdered sugar, cocoa, vanilla sugar, and finely grated orange peel until the glaze is smooth and even.
  6. Let the cookies cool slightly before spreading on the glaze. Top with snowflake sprinkles or a little flaky salt.
