Cooking time: 50 min
Number of people: 4-6

Ingredients

• 250 g apples
• 75 g lingonberry sauce
• Juice and zest of ¼ small orange
• 2 tablespoons golden granulated sugar
• ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
• Pinch of ground nutmeg
• 100 g plain flour
• 75 g granulated sugar
• 75 g very cold butter, grated
• A pinch of fine sea salt
• Fresh vanilla cream, for serving

Here's how you do it

  1. Prepare the apples: Preheat the oven to 190°C. Peel and core the apples, then slice them into thin slices (about ½ cm thick). Place the slices in a large bowl and add lingonberry sauce, orange juice, orange zest, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir everything until the apples are well coated and then set aside.

  2. Make the crumble topping: In a separate bowl, mix flour, sugar, grated butter, and a pinch of salt. Use a whisk to lightly mix the ingredients and coat the butter strands. Then rub the mixture together with your hands until it has a breadcrumb-like consistency.

  3. Assemble and bake: Transfer the apple mixture to a OnePan 20 and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the apples and make sure it is evenly distributed. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden and the filling is bubbling.

  4. Serve: Let the crumble cool slightly before serving. Serve it with warm vanilla sauce for a cozy holiday dessert.
